Fajitas


  • 12 Soft or hard Taco Shells
  • 1 pkt taco seasoning mix
  • 1 pkt taco seasoning salsa

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil
  • 1 lb (500 g) chicken breast strips and or 500g beef sirloin steak
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Old El Paso* Thick ‘N Chunky Salsa
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) lime or lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 each red and green pepper, cut into strips/li>
  • O1 onion, sliced
  • 1 pkg (334 g) Old El Paso* Large Flour Tortillas (warmed in microwave/humid towel)
  • 250g Sour Cream
  • chopped coriander
  • grated cheese

Directions:

Place a griddle pan over a medium-high heat. Mix together the steak, onion, pepper and fajita seasoning in a medium bowl.

Cook the steak, onion and peppers in batches for 4-5 minutes or until the vegetables are softened and the steak is cooked to the desired doneness. Remove the steak and vegetables from the griddle onto a plate and drizzle over the lime juice.

WSpoon the steak and vegetables down the center of each tortilla. Bring the sides of each tortilla up and over the filling, pressing to seal.

Spoon fajita filling onto tortillas. Roll up to serve.

You can also place the folded fajitas onto the griddle and cook for 1-2 minutes each side.

Serve with salsa and soured cream.
